Judge Pamela Medina serves as the presiding judge of Probate Court No.2. Judge Medina presides over decedents’ estates matters, including probate of wills, determination of heirships, appointment of executors and administrators. Judge Medina presides over guardianship proceedings, to determine capacity and appoint a guardian of person or estate. Judge Medina makes determinations regarding trust construction, creation, or modification, and appointments of trustees. Judge Medina presides over any civil litigation matter, where an estate, guardianship, or trust matter attaches.

Prior to serving as the presiding judge of Probate Court No.2, Judge Medina was the attorney and principal at Medina Law Texas, PLLC; her practice areas encompassed preparation of wills, trusts and other estate planning documents, and estate administration and alternatives to administration, guardianships, probate litigation and general civil litigation. Prior to that Judge Medina worked in the corporate trusts and estates asset management division of a national bank, where she served as corporate trustee, estate administrator, and advisor to middle to high-net-worth clients.

Judge Medina began her legal career as a law clerk for the 269th District Court in Harris County.

Judge Medina ensures the legal community, and the community at large understands the probate process by speaking at various senior, community, veteran, church, business and student groups and legal bar associations throughout the county.

The mission for Probate Court No. 2 is to strictly adhere to the rule of law, provide an unbiased and fair treatment to all parties, while presiding over probate of wills, heirships, estate administration, guardianships, trusts and trials.

We will provide efficient access to the court, a proper judicial temperament, transparency, and empathy, patience and guidance to families during challenging times.

We are committed to ensuring that the rights of all individuals—especially the elderly, minors, and vulnerable populations—are protected under the law.

We will follow the judicial canons, and uphold the highest ethical standards, foster public trust in the judicial system, and serve our community with expertise, compassion, and dedication.
